How do I change my German authorised representative?

End the old appointment, notify ZSVR, appoint the new one. You can only have one at a time, and the old one stays liable for its period.

Quick answer

End the old appointment, then name the new one. § 5(4) VerpackDG allows only one representative at a time. When an appointment ends you must notify ZSVR without delay, and the naming ends once ZSVR confirms it (§ 5(6)). Then you sign a mandate with the new representative and name it in LUCID, where it confirms. Obligations that arose while the old representative was named stay with it, so settle who files the reports for the part of the year it covered.
