I sell from my own online shop (Shopify, WooCommerce). Do I need EPR in Germany?

Yes. No platform checks you, but the law applies exactly as on a marketplace: LUCID, a dual-system licence, and a German representative if you are based abroad.

Quick answer

Yes. With your own shop nobody asks for your LUCID number at the door, but the law applies exactly as on a marketplace. If you ship packaged goods to consumers in Germany you register in LUCID, license the packaging with a dual system, and, if your company has no establishment in Germany, appoint a German authorised representative under § 5(2) VerpackDG. ZSVR applies the rules to mail-order and online retail regardless of the sales channel.
