I sell on Kaufland.de. Do I need EPR in Germany?

Yes: Kaufland requires your own LUCID registration, whatever country your company is in. Plus a dual-system licence, and a German representative if you are based abroad.

Quick answer

Yes. Kaufland tells sellers on Kaufland.de that they must register in LUCID, personally, wherever their company is located. The registration only proves you are in the register: you also license your packaging with a dual system, and if your company has no establishment in Germany, since 12 August 2026 you need a German authorised representative (Bevollmächtigter) under § 5(2) VerpackDG.
