What a duales System charges per kilogram
The licence fee is the part of German EPR that scales with your business, and no operator publishes a plain rate card. These are derived, and the derivation is written out so you can repeat it.

How these numbers were produced
- No German duales System publishes a per-kilogram rate card. They publish calculators.
- So we drove the public comparison calculator at verpackungslizenz24.de with 1,000 kg of a single material at a time and read each operator’s annual price. 1,000 kg is used deliberately: it clears the minimum-fee floors that distort small baskets.
- Dividing by 1,000 gives a per-kilogram figure. That is arithmetic on an observed price, not a rate quoted by the operator.
- The calculator applies its own discount codes. The observed column is exactly what came back, code included. The list column undoes that code only where the calculator states its size. Where it does not, the cell is empty rather than estimated.
- verpackungslizenz24.de is affiliate-funded and says so. That is a reason to treat these as indicative and to confirm with the operator before you sign — not a reason to leave the market with no published figures at all, which is where it was yesterday.
What this is not
- It is not a quote. Every operator prices on your actual declared tonnages, your material mix and your contract term.
- It is not a full market. Five operators appeared in the comparison; Germany has more approved systems, listed in our approved-bodies dataset.
- It is not stable. Licence rates move annually and mid-year changes happen. The read date is on every row.
- It is not the whole cost. Add your representative’s fee, which is the layer our provider-price dataset compares.
